In collaboration with Buffalo Rock, over 200 UMA convenience stores across Alabama participated in a fundraiser for Children’s of Alabama from July to September of last year. For every purchase of a Pepsi product, UMA donates a portion of the proceeds and collected donations at the register to support ill and injured children treated at the Children’s Hospital, the state’s only freestanding pediatric hospital.
As a result of our partnership, the Children’s Hospital of Alabama has received over $70,000 in donations from UMA as a result of fundraising efforts across the state in the last five years.
In addition to the partnership with Children’s of Alabama, UMA also partners with Ronald McDonald House Charities®. The charity aims to provide families with living accommodations at the Ronald McDonald House® in Birmingham, Alabama, and other arrangements while their children are being treated at Children’s or other centers.
